I have had several "what's my car worth inquires" which I am more than happy to continue to give you my input on. However, since I mention the same basic info I thought I should post a general remark on what your car may be valued at on a trade, verse if you sell it yourself. Kelly Blue Book & Edmunds are not exactly "Gospel" as there is also Galves, NADA, Kelly Black Black (what some banks use) and several other resources. IN the same way ZILLOW.com offers appraised values of homes, none of these sites actually write checks. Boy would that make things easier for everyone. They offer information, as a general guide. I deal with wholesalers that come in to our Dealership and of course at larger auctions, these people do write checks and we bank the trade in vehicles sometimes with these vehicles, depending what it is, if I don't feel there will be a market for the car (for me at least where I am) to retail it. So, if a Dealer "banks" the car with Johnny Wholesaler for the amount of $X amount, and 5 other wholesalers are basically in the same realm of pricing, that's what it's worth. If KBB said it was worth $3k more, but no one will give it to me, then I'm going to have to go with the check writers. In the same way, if a house is appraised at $300k, but the most people will offer is $275k, then the seller makes the choice if they want to sell it to take the $275k or just hold off. You can easily call some local Dealers and ask what they're willing to actually cut a check for a straight purchase. Not a trade, no new vehicle, just what will you write me a check for my vehicle, done. That is the ACV (actual cash value, wholesale). If you have a high end car, call a high end dealer, if you have a big truck or SUV then I'd call the local truck dealer verse the Hyundai Dealer as you'll probably get more, a motorcycle.... well, you get the idea. After 3 calls and maybe 10 minutes, you will know basically what the car is worth, wholesale. If you want to see what your car is actually SELLING FOR (not what a private seller or Dealer is "asking"), check right here on eBay, under SEE COMPLETED LISTINGS, be sure to look up the same vehicle, and you'll see what they're selling for in GREEN, or not selling for if it is in RED within the last 30 days or so. I hope this helps a little at least whether you are looking at my car, or any vehicle in general. Thank you again for your interest! Best, Jamie
