i bought this 1996 dually for pulling trailer.but i found out from land owner i have to move so i have to sell all my toys because have no place to keep them all.i bought this truck drove it home filled up gas tank and its been in driveway ever since.drove it up the rode a couple times it runs good,when first starts runs a little rough sometimes but comes right out of it.something is making it rich at start up only.the brakes are weak feels like the rears are not working or master cylinder weak,but it will stop if you drive it.but will need work for sure.i would say some injector cleaner and tank of gas would do it some good.the previous owner said they went threw motor 30,000 miles ago.it doesn't smoke or use oil from what i can tell.the transmission shifts good out of 1 and 2 but it is slow to engage 3 and 4 if under heavy throttle.i drove it normal and seems fine.it will work ok but i think it will need rebuilt if you abuse it. it has new ac compressor and works good.remote entry works good,power everything.power seat.interior is dirty and smells like farm truck but not manure.truck has some bad spots on exterior,hole in drivers door looks like a bullet hole but its not. on passenger side behind door under extra cab window has a dent which shows some bondo from previous repair.but it is what it is a 454 vortec dually some rough spots runs good it will make a good farm or work truck.IT WILL SELL NO RESERVE,UNLIKE MOST EBAYS OVERPRICED AUTO AUCTIONS.
