Vehicle Detail

SURVIVOR ! Someone once said these early sedans would be rare someday because nobody saved them. Everyone saved and restored coupes and convertibles. That day is here. Try to find a nice early sedan. Ther're hard to find, especially as nice as this one. One of the nicest examples of an early sedan that you will probably ever find. 19,486 original miles. This car is bone stock right down to the US Royal bias wide whitewall tires. To substantiate the mileage, the car has a Nebraska inspection sticker (still on the windshield) dated 10/01/1973 showing 12,575 miles. I have a copy of the Florida title from 1999 showing 15,403 ACTUAL miles and the current Florida title from last year showing 18,305 ACTUAL miles. The car appears to have had some paint work but the door jambs, engine compartment and trunk were not painted and still original. Original and unpainted undercarriage. No rust or rot. All original interior is mint. Stainless and chrome trim looks great. No detailing or coverup here. It's all stock. A few minor chips and scratches, nothing major. Data plate info: Style 61-0769 (1961 700 sedan), KC (Kansas City), trim 888, paint 936L (ermine white) Engine serial no T0420YC (Tonowanda, April 20, Manual-3sp, 80HP) Diff # BQ4 17 (3.27 ratio open diff.) Factory options: whitewall tires, forced air type heater, 2 speed wiper with washer, AM pushbutton radio, folding back seat, wheel trim rings, tinted glass, backup lights, Owners manual, sales brochure, protection plan booklet (oil change stubs), original sun visor information sleeve. NO oil leaks The car runs great. The carbs have been rebuilt and rejetted for todays fuel (no hesitation). Runs on regular fuel. The transmission shifts smooth (not a synchronized 1st gear) The fuel guage does not work. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions. Better yet, come and see it. Aftermarket fender skirts shown in some pictures do come with the car. On May-09-10 at 16:38:53 PDT, seller added the following information: Well, after being questioned about what I meant by "some paint work" and answering the question (see questions and answers) I spent a couple of hours looking over the paint again. After all, the guy I bought the car from (out of his late father's collection) was also a car guy and he insisted that the car had original paint. Even though I thought it couldn't possibly still have original paint (and I really didn't care) a couple things always puzzled me. There is no overspray anywhere and no sign of being taped off between the obviously original door jams, underhood, etc. and the outside of the body. So if it was painted it would have had to have beed stripped of all chrome, glass, weatherstripping, etc. and why would a low mileage car need that. Also I noticed that the white paint on the metal parts of the interior appear to have the same finish as the exterior. I guess what I am saying is that it is possible this car still has original paint on it. I just can't guarantee it.On May-15-10 at 06:31:42 PDT, seller added the following information: I JUST LOWERED THE RESERVE. Considering the current high bid and the new reserve it's reasonable to assume that the car will sell. However, if it doesn't I will NOT be using the "second chance offer" feature. So if you want the car make sure you bid!
