Vehicle Detail

The Car: This car was originally owned by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department. It was outfitted with a loudhailer and a police radio. It is an SSP packaged car with every option deleted. This car has manual locks, manual mirrors, manual windows, no cruise control, no door speakers, manual seats, and a 5 speed manual transmission. I purchased the car from the L.A. County sheriff's department in June of 2009 making me the second owner of the car. When I bought the car, it was completely factory stock. Here's a list of all the modifications performed to the car: Engine - Stock Forged 88' longblock. - BBK 70mm EGR spacer - Holley 75mm throttle body - Cobra 70mm mass air sensor - Summit brand fenderwell intake kit - NOS Wet fogger kit. Plumbed, but bottle is not mounted and solenoids are not wired. Never been used. Brand new Kit. - MSD Small cap distributor conversion with MSD cap, rotor, and ignition coil - Smog pump removed, but plumbing is still in car and hooked up. Pump will be included with vehicle. - 2.5 inch off road H pipe is installed. Factory Catted H pipe will be included with vehicle. - Flowmaster dual 2.5 inch 44 series Catback exhaust - Melling high volume oil Pump with ARP pump drive installed with new oil pan gasket when the Tubular K-member was installed. - GT40P heads and Explorer intake manifold (included but not installed) - Mass air harness and computer from an 89' Mustang (included but not installed) - Aluminum radiator and electric fan (included but not installed) Drivetrain - Ford Racing super duty T5 transmission with Hurst shifter and Tri-ax shift handle - Polyurethane transmission and transmission crossmember mounts - 3.73 Ford Racing gears with a Ford Trac-Lok Limited Slip Brakes and axles - 5 lug rear end conversion using Ranger axles and drums - 5 lug front end conversion using 1994 Mustang spindles - Cobra front brakes (will include an extra set of rotors) Suspension - H&R Race rear lowering springs - Granatelli front coilovers with 300 lb springs - Tokico Blue shocks - Granatelli Tubular K member with offset lower control arms for improved steering geometry - Maximum Motorsports Caster/Camber plates. Interior - Autometer Gauge Cage with electric oil pressure and water temperature gauges (not currently hooked up, but installed in vehicle) - BBK modified instrument cluster with 180 mph speedometer - Pioneer stereo with USB, CD, and Ipod Control - Infiniti Kappa speakers in rear deck and in the dashboard (No door speakers) Exterior - 03' Cobra wheels 17x9 with 255 tires in rear and 245 tires in front. They are cheap tires and the fronts will need to be replaced soon - Harwood bolt on hood. Uses factory hinges and hood latch. Hood has been drilled for hood pins. No hood pins on the car. The factory hood will be included with the car. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The car drives great. It is currently my daily driver and can continue to be someones daily driver or can be turned into a weekend racer. As you can see by the pictures, the car has quite a bit of work done to it, but it is nowhere near perfect. The paint looks to have been resprayed some time ago and is peeling off on the top sides of the car. The clear coat is completely gone from the top sides of the vehicle. There is only one dent on the car on the right quarter panel. The dent is only the size of a CD and is not deep, just rippled a little. The front bumper is heavily scuffed up but would probably look ok with new paint. The rear bumper is also scuffed and has a small tear in the right rear corner of it. The rubber moldings around the 1/4 glass are old and don't look perfect. The speedometer cable is not currently connected because it melted through the sheath due to heat from the exhaust. The speedometer was working just 2 months ago, so the car might have 1,500 more miles than indicated on the cluster. The car s currently Titled to me with a clean title. It is registered and insured. It passes smog just fine with the cats and smog pump installed. I am sure I am leaving some things out, but I have listed this car to the best of my ability. Please feel free to email me with further questions at Davidedwardmarsh@gmail.com I can take more pictures if any of you request them and I will add them to the auction. On May-09-10 at 08:19:36 PDT, seller added the following information:The A/C in the car works great. The system has been retrofitted to operate on r134 refrigerant and has a new condenser, compressor, dryer, and hoses. The rear interior quarter panels are missing from the car. They were terribly sun damaged when I bought the car and they were turning to dust, so I tossed them out. I have listed the car as an SSP car, but I have discovered that it is not. It was a service car owned by the LA county Sheriff's department which I have proof of, but it is not an actual SSP according to the 2 digit DSO number on the door.
