Vehicle Detail
1999 Volkswagen Eurovan Camper, Winnebago conversion. We bought this after years of tent camping, after getting caught out in the rain one too many times, and have loved it ever since. This is a fun car to drive, around town as well as on the road. The engine is reliable, tough, and strong enough to get up the hills, even doing 90 mph (Don't get caught!). We have even towed a small trailer with it. The car is nimble as well, I have never had a problem getting into even small parking spaces. We had new tires put on last year, and they have only a few thousand miles on them. Also we put on new brakes and rotors as well, at the same time. I also have had the brake switch and the ignition switch replaced. You will note on the pictures that I have replaced the regular plastic propane tank controls guard with a metal one, which I did after the second plastic one (which cost $80 each) fell off going over some rough road-this metal one doesn't come off and has the additional advantage of a door so I can turn on and off the propane tank without removing the cover. The car has never been smoked in and is mechanically sound; we have had no problems with it. Everything works, including the heater (propane powered), the stove, sink and the fridge. The fridge works especally well when plugged into 120 V power, so we usually do that before we leave on a trip, then run it on 12v DC or propane-I have never thought it was particularly great on either one of those, but I am told it just needs a cleaning out for the propane to work better. Cosmetically there is a 4 inch tear in the right side netting on the pop-up, which I intend to repair in the next few days, and a few minor dings, all of which I could see are annotated in the pictures, and the driver's right side arm rest is worn at the end. The vehicle comes with a bra but I didn't put it on for the pictures. The radio has a CD player and is XM equipped, but the subscription expired, you will have to get another one if you want it. I am not sure but I believe the fresh water storage is 12 gal and the gray water holds 8 gallons. A propane fill seems to last us two years, either we don't use much or it just sips it. Sorry about all the food and stuff in the pictures-we keep it ready to go when we want to go! The vehicle is for sale locally, we reserve the right to cancel this sale at any time. The lucky winner must forward $500 earnest money within 48 hours, balance upon receipt of the vehicle. I will deliver within a day's drive as long as you fly me back to Cody, WY. Otherwise, buyer to arrange shipping. Good Luck!
