This 1997 Honda CRV was the first Model of the CRV style, which is very nice and has lots of room. There are cosmetic issues that have not been addressed but with a little T.L.C. Starting from the out side; The driver side window has been busted out, There is a little rust on the bottom portion of the doors on both the driver side and passenger side. The fog lights that go in front are no longer on the car, but new ones can be placed there since the wiring is still there. It still has the spare tire, which still has good tread on it, and all four of the other tires have good working tread as well. The Engine is still in great shape, and despite having almost 283,000. My mother bought the car brand new and put all but about 80,000 of the miles on it. About 90% of the miles are all Highway. The car is valued at $2,825 on Kelly blue book. I will say that anyone who owns or has owned a Honda knows that these vehicles are able to run for 350,000 to 400,000 miles with out any major issues. The timing belt needs to be changed, it may need new shoes and pads but the rotors are great. The drums still look great as well. It doesn’t seem to have any suspension issues at all, but the shocks haven't been replaced in 3 years. It will need a muffler and a front O2 sensor but those are relatively cheap. On the Inside: The seats are in good shape, but a little ware. The driver’s seat does have a cigarette burn, but it isn't very deep, from the previous owner. (My mom) There felt on the inside roof of the car is a bit dirty, but there are no tares in it. The glove compartment needs to be replaced, but it has cup holders that are in the front console. There is a Single Disk C.D. Player, but it isn't the factory issue, and it needs to be mounted a bit better, but works nice. The speakers in the car work. The car has Air Conditioning, but it needs to be charged. The climate controls work, but there is a malfunction, to where it needs to be on high, or off, the in-between options do not work. The Cruise Control works perfect, and is nice for those long trips. The back seats can be folded down if you need to put longer stuff in through the back door. The back door (trunk) area, offers a nice amount of room, and is perfect for camping supplies. It has an additional electric source (cigarette Lighter kind). The carpet pulls back and underneath is a picnic table, which is removable. Underneath the picinic table is an area that Honda designed for putting Ice for tailgating. It is a large bowl sized plastic container (no top) that is removable for cleaning and getting all of the unused ice out. THIS IS A GREAT CAR!!! I am moving and my wife and I are towing her car already. I don't want to spend the extra money on gas, to have someone drive it from Indiana to Northern California, where we are moving. This car dose not leek oil or any other fluids. It runs great, but just needs a little love.
