This auction is for a classic Manx style dune buggy. This model is called The Jackal and is a piece of east coast history as they were manufactured in New Jersey. This dune buggy is a full length model which offers more room overall and to accomodate a rear seat to make it a 4 seater. As you can see by the photos, this one is being offered as a project, but it is a good start if you are looking for an inexpensive one. The chassis looks to be a desireable 1967 unit with the ball joint front end and the factory widened rear swingaxle. As shown, the floors will need some patching and it definitely could use a good coat of paint, but again, a good project. The wiring is there, but I would recommend a new buggy harness which are fairly painless to install. This car will need to be trailered as the rear tires don't hold air very long and the steering has been disconnected and the front wheels do not track with a tow bar. This is sold as is and the pictures should clearly show the condition. If any serious buyer would like to come look at it in person, please contact us to make an appointment. We do not have a title and this is being sold with a Bill of sale only. A $200 deposit is due at the end of auction through paypal and we would like final payment to be made within 7 days when the car is to be removed from our house in Suffolk county on Long Island.
