Vehicle Detail
Reluctantly selling my sportscar. I have owned this MGC since 1985. It has always been kept inside under cover. Although I have competed in local autocross racing and exhibition class runs around tracks like Watkins Glen, Road America and Laguna Seca I have never abused it, I love this car. I have beefed up the suspension with spax gas shocks and an uprated anti sway bar. The front end is tight and it really sticks to the road. Every 'B' owner that has driven my car says how much they'd like to have a 'C'! As it has the power they wish there car had. I have driven this car less than 100 miles per summer for the last ten years. The alternator need to be replaced. Some storage issues caused a few small dents most notably the right rocker. No rust is evident nor has there been any rust repairs. The numbers are painted on and the lettering can easily be peeled off. Comes with original hard top which is a rare item that commands quite a price on its own if you can find one. The mileage is true and documented on the title. Includes four like new touring tires which offer a much smoother ride than the shaved Generals mounted on the painted spoke wheels that are still tight. The heater box and power boosters were removed and no longer in my possession. I liked the feel of the brake pedal with out the boost when autocrossing. The car runs great, shifts smooth and has overdrive in all four gears. The roll bar was professionally installed and gives the chassis a much tighter feel. Has a five point harness on the divers seat. 10% non refundable deposit required via paypal at end of auction with balance due upon pick up. Car is located in my garage in SW Minnesota, 2 miles north of I-90 exit 64. I will answer questions as best I can as time permits. I am starting this wonderful collectible MGC at 5995 with no reserve! It's a steal and twice the price. I have somes spares to include; oil filters, new brakes shoes, new hood insulation etc. Original MGC Workshop manual.
