Originally this car was built in New Mexico. It was then purchased by some folks in Idaho. I acquired the car several months ago. My wife and I have had a wonderful time this summer driving the car. I have driven this car on days that the temperature exceeded ninety-five degrees. Whether it is driven in town or on the freeway it runs cool. Coming from a guy who is used to driving new vehicles or $60,000 muscle cars I have to tell you that this is one fun driver. It brakes, steers, and handles exceptionally. You cannot drive this car anywhere without people honking and giving you the thumbs up. I have watched several other replicas on the eBay Motors auction. It seems like they are apologizing for all the things that are wrong with their car. I don't need to do that. Look at the luster on the chrome plating. Look at the details in the pictures. This car has not been sitting in cold storage for years. It has been driven and maintained like it should be. In my opinion I do not think that the replicas built on a VW platform are in the same league as this car and other's built with a traditional engine, transmission, and rear drive. That is how this car was built originally: Chevette 4 cylinder with manual 4 speed sold rear axle. These cars are extremely under priced. You cannot build one of these cars for less than $30,000 if you do all the work yourself. Now they are under $10,000! What a bargain!
