Exterior: The Florentine Gold Firemist color option is one of the most beautiful we have seen on any classic Cadillac and this paint really shines. The body is straight and free from any major dings. The chrome is in excellent condition and shines like new. The golden vinyl top is in mint condition. When we discovered this car, it was stored covered in a garage. There is no rust, no bubbles, nothing that indicates that this car had body work or bondo. We believe it to have been repainted in the past. We have gone over all the panels with a magnet. The weather stripping is in great condition and we can not find any leaks. Door jambs are clean and rust free! Interior: The Custom Biarritz line has posh, soft, high quality pillow top leather seats and these seats are in great condition with no rips or tears. Dash is straight with no separating. The steering wheel has intact faux wood trim - signs of a low mileage, garage kept car not subject to wear from the sun. Air conditioning has been serviced and upgraded to R134, and the automatic climate control keeps this car ice cold during the warmest summer days in Florida! The clock works and keeps the time perfectly. All the other gauges function as well, as does the AM/FM Stereo Radio. The power options are plenty. A look in all the ashtrays show shiny chrome and no trace of smoking. Mechanical: In 1977, the Eldorado was offered with Fuel Injection or a 4 bbl carburetor, giving 180 HP at 4,000 RPM and 320 lbsft of torque at 2,000 RPM. The later option is what we have in this vehicle, it starts right up, runs like a champ and is very powerful. There is no smoke what so ever, no disturbing noise or rattle, the engine has been carefully driven and well maintained. Undercarriage is very clean, with only normal surface rust. The exhaust is brand new and quiet. The air conditioning was recently serviced and upgraded with all new parts to the modern R134a standard.
