1973 BMW 3.0CS, Polaris Silver, Tan leather interior. Britax Canvas Sunroof. Currently not running, needs battery, clean gas, brakes seized, probably needs new muffler.Body, paint still good one or two bubbles coming through. Carpet tired, previous owner redid drivers seat, doesn't quite match others. Tires cracking been sitting too long. Odometer stopped working (Apparently common and easy fix, but beyond my scope!) about 10 years ago, probably about 5000 miles with broken odometer. Needs an owner that can maintain it and use it! Engine bay very clean as is engine. Always garage stored, no winters since my ownership, 22 years. The story: I bought the car in November 1988 for $12,500, looked very good and I thought I'd restore it fully. Went for a safety, need brakes, bearings, tie rod ends, $1,600, mileage 118,432. February 1989 needed shocks, (bearings and boots) and tune-up, $1,120. mileage 118, 473 Decided it needed some cosmetic restoration, body and paint $3,000. June 1989, air not working, fix clutch and solenoid, new door rubbers, $402, mileage 119,119 June 1989 Air still not cold, Fix compressor, replace switches and fittings $454, mileage 120, 064 Nov 1989, replace inner fender liners, insulation, shift boot, some switches, $619 February 1990, repaced trunk gasket, emblems, $188 March 1990, blew rad hose on highway, pulled over, engine lunched, complete overhaul $7,716. Mileage 121,412 April 1990, bought a reliable troublefree Miata, still have it! May 1990, Adjust valves, retorque head, R & R carbs, $602, mileage 121,623 July 1990, new bulbs, turn signal housing, plastic trim pieces, $351. July 1991, good year tune up, $225. Mileage 121,730 New job, no time for car. June 1992, Pull, repair and replace gas tank $1,586. Mileage 121734 Odometer stops working October 1993, regular tune-up. $203 Start a business, not much time for the car. Car sits a few years, needs brakes, they seize if not used regularly. May 2000, $400 worth of brake parts and sway bar links. Car used occasionally after this, last time out 4 - 5 years ago. Someone dinged me in the parking lot. Rear left, bent the bumper slightly and cracked the paint. After that I lost interest. Has sat for about 4 years since being started, so will need to be flatbedded out. I just don't have the time to fix or drive it anymore, so out it must go! Buyer will need to pick-up vehicle where it sits, Successful bidder will Paypal a non-refundable deposit of $500.
