I'm listing this for my buddy but if you check my rating you can see that what I say you can take to the bank. My buddy is a retired CHP and he brought this VW new for his wife. Had AC installed 3days after he got the AC installed he disconnected it because it pulled the engine down so much it wouldn't run right. He is up in his late 60's and decided that its time to sell the car. He has it sitting at their 2nd home covered up and doesn't drive it very much and figured that its time to sell. I looked at the VW several months ago and the car is almost perfect. Has the original paint still shining like new with just a few rock chips under the front bumper and below the headlights. Never been in a wreck or had paint work done on the car. Interior is perfect no worn, tears or rips. Top is in great shape never been replaced and doesn't need it now. Tires have been replaced they look new. Engine has had new seals installed about 1000 mile ago and that is all that has been done. The car is as close to perfect as you will find without someone restoring a VW. If you are wanting a VW CONV this is one of a kind. You will have to look long and hard to fine a VW this nice. One that hasn't been redone but original this is the car. I've seen the car several time but never drove it but I can gaurantee that the car is one of the nicest VW you can fine.
