Vehicle Detail

RARE color combo - Covert Tan exterior with Covert Tan interior, Black stripes and black vinyl top! Looks awesome and runs great! I HAVE THE ORIGINAL BUILD SHEET found under the seat springs. The odometer shows just over 42K miles. The title states that as original miles and by looking at the truck, it would appear original and factual however, I have no way of verifying that for sure. DRIVETRAIN: 350ci/350HP numbers matching engine and transmission. The engine was rebuilt for unleaded gas by the guy I bought it from last year (he was a professional mechanic). Has a mild cam with a little lope. The engine has less than 1000 miles it since rebuild. Brand new dual exhaust, radiator, belts, new edelbrock 650 carb (still have original in a box), and cowl induction air cleaner ( I have the original air cleaner also). Transmission shifts very good and solid. The truck will chirp the tires in 1st and 2nd gear! Rear end is a 12 bolt posi from the factory with 2.72 gearing. All new suspension bushings and ball joints. New brake pads. EXTERIOR: The paint is bright and shiny, the previous owner had it painted (original color) because the old paint was faded. It is an OK paint job, there are a couple paint blemishes (can be easily fixed). I had it professionally cut and buffed, it now shows VERY nice. The stripes are semi flat black and look great. Factory hood pins. Factory trailer hitch, New black vinyl top. The body is incredible! NO RUST or BONDO ANYWHERE. The ELK was built in Los Angeles(Van Neys) and spent its entire time in Bakersfield, CA. Owned by an older gentleman who babied this truck and kept it in a garage all the time. The under carraige is so clean and absolutely ZERO rust. I have had many collector vehicles and I have never seen one this clean and rust free! I have also had this car inspected by my personal Paint and Body guy (One Off Design, Santa Clara, CA), and this vehicle has never been in an accident or had any body repairs....you have to see it. All new stainless on the bed and wheel wells. The bed is rust free and I had it sprayed with Rhino Liner. Looks great! ORIGINAL SS RIMS and CAPS, brand Goodyear Eagle GT II new tires. The truck DOES have factory power steering and power brakes, front disk brakes. Also new heavy duty rear air shocks and new battery (6 mos). INTERIOR: Very good condition. New headliner, and seat upholstry, as the old one was pretty dry and brittle. I also have new door panels (not yet installed) that will go with the truck. The dash is in very good condition. The original radio is not wired up or not working (I have not checked it out). All the gauges and dash lights work. SS Gauge/Idiot Light set up from the factory with SS tilt column and steering wheel. Windows roll up good as do the vent windows. The original spare tire set up is complete and behind the passenger seat. The truck has the hidden compartment behind the drivers seat and under the front part of the bed. I also have a new review mirror that will go with the vehicle. New door weatherstripping. This El Camino also is factory equiped with A/C. The system is complete but, it is not charged up and a couple electical connections need to be re-engaged. I have added a picture of the build sheet. You can see in the close up picture, it states a =Z15 SS EQP PKG THIS IS A TRUE SS EL CAMINO! Not a clone. I hate to sell this truck but, I am out of room. Your welcome to come and drive it and look at it. Call Randy at 408-205-6816 if you have any questions.WHAT IT STILL NEEDS: Here is everything I can think of that this truck may need - Speedo cable broke a few weeks ago, I will try to get it replaced before the buyer picks up the vehicle. I have the new cable. Replace the radio, it is the original radio and I am not sure if it does not work or if a wire is diconnected. I was going to put in an after market stereo but, never got around to it. Window felts - I have a brand new set that goes withthe truck. Charge up the A/C and put on the belt. Clean the ground wire connections for brighter lights, etc. Touch up a paint spot on the front edge of the driver door. I already have the touch up paint. - DONE Adjust the transmission column indicator. It is a simple adjustment to align the pointer over the "D". That is it. This is a very solid and original truck. Again, NO RUST OR DAMAGE on this vehicle. On May-05-10 at 09:11:25 PDT, seller added the following information: I have lowered the reserve below what I have in this super nice truck. Someone will be getting a GREAT truck for a Great deal for a TRUE SS, Matching Numbers, Rare color combo, El Camino. Best of luck!!!
