This is a well taken care of Alcapulco Thing with two tops- hard and soft bimini (solid off white color; the original blue/white strip bimini is long gone but a repo can be made). 95+% restored. NO rust. A third full top frame is also included (this needs some repair). Many new items/repairs/paint. Full set of perfect windows (new plastics) with original holding pouches. Another set of old spare/extra windows for a future Thing are included. Other new items are: 1) New floors-undercoating on bottom; bed liner spray inside 2) complete new brake job; shoes, wheel cylinders, hoses 3) axle boots 4) original style muffler with bumper outlets. 5) original style distributor 6) battery 7) uphostery -padding and covers from the Thing Shop 8) original AM engine and oil bath air cleaner 9) tires Receipts and previous info file. All the lights, directionals, four ways, wipers, engine oil/gen lights, low/high beams, horn, etc. work. Even the cigerette lighter and dash pocket light work. Some miscellaneous parts: bolt-in supports (see parts picture) for hard top when heavy roof rack carrying is planned, ie: kyack, canoe, surf boards. NOTE HARD TOP HAS FACTORY ROOF RACKS FOR TIE DOWNS. Spare tire/rim. Original jack. Clear Florida title with no liens, or brandings. A picture of the VIN (vehicle ID number) plate in the trunk ridge is avaailable; title VIN matches platwe. The Thing Shop can make a blue/white striped bimini top for the complete Alcapulco package. I have not priced this, but guestimating about $250. The last owner had this since 2006. Most good examples are requiring further bids above reserve or, are at their peak/saturation price due to condition. The buyer that will pay my price will be one that either can come to see/drive it. Once you see and drive it, you will pay the $9,800. For those of you that must rely upon long distant, non-test drive/view prognosis, all I can say is professional inspection agencies are available and welcome. A professional inspection is approximately $200 to $300 and can be hired via internet/ebay connections-search. If purchased at the $9,800, the inspection fee will be deducted from the final balance.
