For sale, 1966 Pontiac Catalina Convertable. It has been in the family since it was new. It is a numbers matching car. Everything is origional on this car, origional interior, and carpet. The only thing that is not origional is the radio, which was changed to an AM-FM years ago. It even has the origional build sheet. It has 109,703 actual miles. My uncle bought this car new. He was in his mid 50's at the time it was purchased. That was the same time I bought my first new car. It was a 66 L79 Nova. I was 20 at the time. My uncle kept the Pontiac till his death in 96. The car had 109,300 at the time. It has only been run enough to keep it running properly. I own an auto repair shop, and am the only person to work on this car since it was new. I replaced the timing chain in the mid 80's. It has been well maintained and has never had any major mechanical issues. It runs as good as it did when it was new. The car has a 389 2bbl engine with a turbo 400 trans. I can answer any questions about the history of the car that you might have. There are a few things that have been done in the last two years. It has been painted, had a tune up and a new coil ( the origional delco coil still worked perfect.), new valve cover gasghets, painted the upper part of the motor, new brakes, new tires on the rear, and replaced the heater core. There are a few negative things. The weather stripping around the trunk, windows, and doors needs to be replaced. Some of the exterior trim is pitting some. This car looks really good as it is. It could be driven across country with no problems. The pictures really do not do the car justice. Any discoloration in the paint or interior is in the pictures and not on the car.
