Vehicle Detail

The item is a 1969 four door (suicide) Lincoln Continental. This vehicle was a show car in the 80's and 90's. It actually won best of show throughout the South. When I bought it, the trunk was full of old trophies; many which I kept. The vehicle has an original black paint job and new white wall tires and new vinyl top. The headliner is in good condition, but the interior needs to be worked on as you can see in the pictures. Needs interior light housing, front window is cracked, dash board has some cracks and sun damage. The frame is very solid with one dent on the front quarter panel and a 12" scratch on the passenger door. The car sat in the sun before I bought so the clear coat on the paint is gone and not in the best condition, however there is no major rust except around the driver side floor board area. I actually began working on it so I removed the old carpet. The engine does work, but it needs to be tweaked, anyone with knowledge can have it tuned and running nice with little effort. I don't have the time to spend bringing it back to its "old glory" days, but one thing is for sure this car in any condition will turn heads! This can be a local pick-up or a long distance pick-up at buyers expense. I do have a very good transporter that will give you a really good price if you need it picked up. On May-02-10 at 10:36:25 PDT, seller added the following information: Exhaust will need to be replaced. On May-07-10 at 14:21:09 PDT, seller added the following information: For all interest buyers. Please be aware that I have not conducted a full diagnostic of this vehicle so I do not know all the things that need to be done. The car is in my garage in a different state so I do not have up dated pictures. Things that I do know: All power windows and locks have been disconnected. I have never tried to reconnect or work them. The radio does work as do the gauges. I know the power seats are not working as well as the power antenna. Because I work in a different state I have not spent the time going through everything. So please be advised that anything that deals with the power windows or locks could be as simple as reconnected or something more. There is one picture that shows an inside bare door. This is the drivers side door, and I do have the housing for this door but its not attached. Also the only rust I have ever seen on this vehicle is located in the front floor board area. The things listed is the reason why I did not start out in the thousands of dollars and why I have a low reserve price. One thing to keep in mind, the person willing to take the time I didn't have to build it back will have gotten their money's worth.
