Vehicle Detail
This is a true NO Reserve Auction – High Bidder Wins – 1963 Corvette Roadster, Original Numbers matching 327 / 300hp, 4 speed, and posi-traction rear-end. 72k miles, (still driving it, so could change), Riverside Red, White top over Black interior, Knockoff Wheels, and Side Pipes. BY THE NUMBERS: Build date code B2, in the second month of production, October 1962. Very early 1963 C2 Corvette (source: rowleycorvette.com ) Not sure if that is important, might be to some people. VIN 30867S101243 Engine # 3101243 F0920RD Block Casting # 3782870 Cylinder Head Casting # 3782461 Carb# 3921S Bellhousing#3858403 Intake# 3844459 Exhaust Manifold# 3749965 Transmission# 3885010 Differential Casting#3871976 ENGINE / TRANS: The numbers matching engine has just been tuned up, NEW plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, coil, air filter, and valve cover gaskets. All Chrome ignition wire covers are in place. The original steel valve covers come with car. The carburetor has been rebuilt, and the car runs out VERY strong. The tires look almost new. Trans shifts smoothly thru all four gears, reverse lock out works as it should. Clutch feels good, with nice pedal travel, and positive hook up. SUSPENSION: Looks like all the front end bushing were replaced; no cracking of rubber and all the proper washers are in place. The rod ends / ball joints seem tight, with complete boots, car drives straight down the road. The brakes stop excellent for non-power all drum brakes. BODY: No evidence of frame damage, and the frame is completely rust free. The Riverside Red paint as you can see in the pictures has a great shine to it, expect some nicks here and there as this car has been and is being driven. The headlights function properly (both) go up and down, both high and low beams work. The door vent windows do not open. Minor scratches on the original door glass, and windshield, right door glass looks like lower edge (about 1.5 inch) has been etched? Kind of foggy looking, hard to describe, didn’t bother me since the windows were only put up once since we got the car. INTERIOR: Clean and functional, no tears / rips /cracks or burns. Carpet looks like it was replaced at some time as well as the seat covers. Console looks to be original, as do the gauges and shifter. All the gauges appear to work, even the clock and the gas gauge. Original AM radio works fine also. Turn signals work and self cancel after turning. Wipers work, Heater blower motor works also. Convertible top was replaced at some time in the past; frame could use the rear bow seal replaced, I have a new one that goes with the car, and the rear window cleaned up. The door glass / top of the door seals and cat whiskers also need to be installed; again I have the parts not the time. WHY AM I SELLING? Job relocation forces sale of some toys, no I am not short of cash, I do not “need” to sell the car, I just do not want the hassle of moving seven cars. TRADES? Sorry, no trades. That would present the same issue I have now, transporting cars two states away. TERMS: Car is sold as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Winning bidder to pay all shipping costs, I will help load car if possible. Keep in mind this is a 47 year old car, and I have tried my best to describe everything I can think of, if you have questions, please ask before the auction ends. You can see from my feedback, I have been on Ebay a long time and have perfect 100% positive, and want to keep it that way. Sale is final; winning bidder will be expected to send a $500 non-refundable payment within three days, and the balance in cash at time of pick-up or certified funds that clear my bank prior to car departing my garage. Thanks for looking, Good Luck!
