Here for sale is a classic and rare1985 XL 350R dual purpose dirt bike. These XL 350's were only made for two years here in the US. It has 4152 miles and is factory street legal. It is in great shape for it's age and has surprisingly low miles. It has been used and is not mint, but is very nice and clean, and well.... it's only got a little over 4K on it! View the pictures and see. It has great power and fuel economy for a little daily commuter, yet is great off-roader as well. All signals and lights work as they should, along with the horn. This bike is a manual kick start with auto compression release. It fires right up on the first kick even after several weeks of storage, cold. It shifts through all 6 gears smoothly and the clutch feels tight as it should. The engine does not smoke and is sealed up well (not a leaker). All the plastic body panels and fenders are fee of cracks. The seat is very nice, but has one tiny hole near the front left bottom corner (see close up). The gas tank in great shape with no dents, and is clean inside. The muffler has a dent in it at the top side from a wheelie or laydown (see close up). Both front and rear tires have approximately 90% tread life left. This XL 350 is an absolute joy to ride, and is a great handling, powerful, nimble trail bike. This bike is being sold for a friend who is looking for cash. Unfortunately, he is not interested in any trades. If the bike doesn't sell, I may just buy it off him, myself! This thing is a lot of fun! As for the reserve price.... I don't want to have any issues with eBay's policies and risk having my auction pulled, so I will not be posting the reserve. I'm thinking I will just let the bids determine the ending price. After further inspection, I too see this slight crooked look, and surmise it may have been caused from the same incident that caused the damaged muffler. The sub-frame looks fine with no dented, kinked or other wise visible bent areas. I just don't want anyone disappointed with this bike or sale. Also as a note, this XL 350 is for sale locally and may end early do to a private, in person sale. Thanks again! " The bike was wiped out by my brother-in-law on wet grass not going very fast and that is how this bike wound up with the bent seat, muffler, and scratches. Before that it was mint."
