This auction is for a nice 1971 VW Karmann Ghia. This car is just about as nice as most ghias you will see at some of the east coast VW shows and has had a lot of work done to it. The low starting price reflects the fact that I do not have a title for it(due to a house fire) and is being sold with a Bill of Sale only. The car is complete and has been off the road for about 2 years due to it needing a battery and a starter which has a problem with a broken terminal and would only turn the motor slowly. The brakes have new parts and work good and the motor has a newer carburator. The paint looks good but can look better with a compound and wax and the interior is in nice shape and was apparently restored at one time. The wheels are rare 1973 Sport bug units that are wider than stock and have a deeper dish look than the regular VW sport wheels. The drivers side window does not roll down. If it was offered with a title, this would easily be a $4000 car, so if you are looking for a vintage Ghia and do not need a title for your state or can get a new one, this car is going to be a screaming deal. A $300 deposit is required immediately at the end of the auction due to some bast experiences, so please be prepared for this. The balance is due within 7 days when the car is to be picked up. The car rolls great and can easily be towed with a VW tow bar. I will be providing a bill of sale.
