The vehicle: You are viewing a very rare 2 owner 1987 Porsche Factory Turbo Look Cabriolet. This beauty is equipped from the factory with the same Chassis, brakes and looks of the turbo but it did not have any of the headaches or maintenance that comes with the turbo. Also unique to the last couple years of these original 911’s were the much coveted G50 transmission which this car is also equipped with. You want to talk about rare; this M491 Turbo look package was only on 16 of the Carrera cabs hand built in 1987. See the window sticker below for proof of what this car is and how this very rare car was optioned when new. Why pay $75,000 plus for a speedster when you can have the same drivetrain and chassis (Minus the windshield) for much less in a vehicle that is 1 of 16 built for 1987. The rarity of this car will also help to make this beauty is always worth more than other Carreras as time goes on. This beautiful 911 comes equipped with all of the service records going back to 16,000 miles. The car has only covered 58,XXX miles since new and we have extensive records and a totally clean autocheck to prove it. This is a 2 owner car that spent the early years of its life in FL where it was maintained at Butch Stokes Automotive (Porsche Specialist). In 1995 it came to Minneapolis where it was used sparingly as a summer car and then it was put into storage for the winters. The car was maintained at German Autoworks and Jeppesen Imports in MN. On top of regular maintenance the motor underwent a full out of car service and head/valve job at 48,116. For a full documentation of the service history please click on the service links below. This car also just had new Michelin Pilots mounted on beautiful Polished Fuchs. The car runs and drives excellent and has never been in an accident. The exterior on this car looks great and there are no signs of body panel repair or replacement. The rear quarters were recently repainted due to chips and paint imperfections that these wide body cars often get. The previous owner was a Jazz fan and he equipped the car with high end stereo system. This stereo sounds phenomenal and was all custom done very nicely. Also the car has black dual power seats in it and I also just ordered new custom Lloyd mats which will be included with the sale. The car came with Linen seats in it which I will also switch out if the new owner wants the linen ones back in it. The Linen seats are showing their age and are not in as nice of shape as these black ones are. If the stereo is not your cup of tea it could be easily pulled out. This car was also just serviced and is ready to go. It was inside our climate controlled storage all winter and there was not even one drop of oil when we pulled it out this spring. The bad news is that the top is not perfect and it I will be posting more pics of this when it gets back from the top shop. There were some places where the mechanics wore through top, we are having these fixed right now and I will have these pics posted soon. The only other thing with the top is that one of the power latches (that latches to the windshield) is a little sticky and needs to be manually done sometimes. I am also working on this right now and it may be corrected at the time of the sale. Other than that all of the motors and hardware works great on the top. Besides this everything on the car works as it should. Mechanically the car is great and it is a blast to drive. These aircooled 911’s are really where it is at for pure driving fun.
