This particular 1937 Chrysler Royal Convertible has been part of a mature wealthy gentleman’s private fine classic car collection for several years and has been climate control stored and recently had extensive mechanical work completed Automotive Restorations Inc. This Chrysler Royal has all its original driveline components, with believed to be 13,476 original miles on it, and is a very rare opportunity for a true pre-war serious collector in the know. The Details; This 1937 Chrysler has had a complete quality restoration completed in the early 90’s and then climate control stored. It is finished in the correct factory burgundy color which looks near black at night. The body is arrow straight and is a solid rust-free example. All the chrome/trim/emblems/glass/are in beautiful shape as well. The burgandy leather interior is in exc. condition. All the upholstery was restored to orig specs and it has all original correct details thru-out. The Convertible top is very good condition replaced of course. Just an amazing coach inside and you feel like royalty when your sitting behind the wheel of this fine classic automobile. The chassis is rock solid. ***Note: I have just had the paint, engine compartment, and interior professionally reconditioned/detailed. The exterior paint was was professionally buffed and hand polished to a show quality high gloss mirror finish, the leather was all conditioned and preserve treated, the engine compertment was all correctly detailed for shows, and as you can see the result is gorgeous. The Mechanicals; The heart of this Chrysler is its flathead Six-cylinder engine that was fully rebuilt by Automotive restorations in 2008. It is running & driving superbly and can be driven anywhere with confidence. It is so quiet at idle you hardly know its running. Built with quality for the wealthy upper class and was considered one of the finest driving grand touring Convertibles of its day. All mechanicals systems were recently gone thru by Automotive restorations in 2008 at that time they rebuilt the entire engine, rebuilt the entire brake system including a new master cylinder, checked all the electrical functions and much more. The fluids were changed and the car now runs and drives very well indeed. I have just spent another 2k 4-2010 at Automotive Restorations on an electric fuel pump installation so that the cold/hot starting operation is superb. All total the recent Reciepts for all the Automotive Restorations mechanical work are over 20k and are included in the sale.
