Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1968 Buick Colorado GS 350 - 4 with the Stage 1 intake and Rochester 4 brl carb. This car underwent a complete restoration in 2003. Rebuilt engine, trans, suspension, and other components. New paint, tires, interior, shocks and exhaust. The car was entered in a car show in 2004. It was purchased by a guy in August 2005. Then donated to the Vail Christian High School in January of 2006. They tried to sell the car with no luck and at that time it sat out side for about a year. It looks liked like it was then driven down a wet gravel road where it was in a inside storage. In the fall of 2008 it was moved to another indoor heated storage garage that we keep our cars in. We are in need of the room and told the school that it is time to do something with the car so we are selling it and have the title in hand. We had to get the car running with a used battery. After, the car would not hold a charge. We found that the alternator was bad and replaced it. The car now holds a charge and runs and drives well. We had the car on a lift and took photos (We can send these if you provide a Email address). The radio did work but stoped on one of the test rides. Radio light goes on, we think the speaker is bad. The interior looks good but has some fading of the carpet. The rear veiw mirror is fogged. All of the windows and switches work. It looks like it was a complete rebuild of everything. Now there is some miles on it and a oil leak around the oil filter area. The car does have power steering, brakes and tilt steering wheel. The glass and trim looks original and has some scratches. The paint looks good but has some bubbling on the rear fender tips, and paint pealing inside the trunk drip chanel on the drivers side and a bad spot on the drivers door. The top is showing some pulling on the lower rear corners and a split above the rear window. We do not know anything about Buicks but will try to answer questions as best as possible. Please look closely at all photos. We we help load the car for shipping. Thanks!
