Vehicle Detail

First time offered! 100% true barn find! This Mustang has been parked in a garage since 1983! Can you say Elenor? What we have here is a 1967 Ford Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback "A" code 289 V8 4 speed with Luxury interior option. This car has 52,976 documented miles. I am told by the family I purchased the car from that they were second ower. The grandson of the person I bought the car from start taking the interior, trim, etc off the car about 5 years ago in hopes to restore it. He was very good about keeping the parts organized. From what I can tell the only thing missing from the car is the original carpet. I have every single other piece. Even including the after market under dash a/c. I also have the original owers manual with the warranty information incuded. This car also has the 4 headlight front end option. The motor is 289 V8. The motor does spin free by hand. We had the motor turning over by the starter but the starter is very weak. With a couple of shots of starting fluid we did get it to pop a few times. Obviously this will need some work as it has set for 27 years. The car was produced at the Dearborn Michigan plant. The transmission is a 4 speed manual. Shifter is free to every gear and feels very smooth still. The rear end is a 3.00 Limited slip. Both back wheels were spinning free but the passenger side brake locks up once in a while when spinning. Motor, transmission, and rear end are all original to the car. The exterior is white and original color is wibledon white. The paint on the car now is not the original. Looks to have two repaints over the years. The interior is red and the original factory color is crinkle red. This car has had some rust repairs in the past on the fenders and quarters. The floors seem pretty solid with only a handful of spots that need attention. The trunk looks solid. The hood had a tach at one time. I have the bulge and trim ring but not the tach. Not sure if this was dealer installed item or not. Frame horns and shock towers are all good and not rotted. All the glass in in good shape with no broken pieces. We hooked up a battery and all lights work, turns work, dash works, even the map lights still work. Door tag and protecto plate match and are both still intact. Obviously if you read this far you know what you are looking at. I have over 80 high res pictures of this car from almost every angle. http://s212.photobucket.com/albums/cc158/dastlt2004/1967%20Mustang%20GT%202%20plus%202%20Fastback/ The reserve on this car is very modest. I will not give out the reserve so dont ask. Bid to win! If you bid and do not pay all nessary action will be taken. No non paying bidders please. I have no time for games or scams. The buyer must arrange all shipping for this car. I will help with what I can but can not deliever. This car is offered AS IS WHERE IS. The car has been in storage for 27 years and will need restored to be road ready. A deposit of $500 must be made with in 48 hours of auction end and full payment with in 7 days of auction end via cash in person. I have a clear Indiana title in hand for this car. Ask any questions BEFORE auction end please. On Apr-20-10 at 07:10:40 PDT, seller added the following information: FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE NOT NOTICED. THIS CAR HAS THE VERY RARE OPTION OF TILT WHEEL.
