Vehicle Detail

Walter Flanders was Henry Ford's production manager in the pre-"T" era. According to some auto historians, he invented the moveable production line which Henry claimed credit for. In 1908 Henry and Walter had a falling out. Walter moved down Piquette Ave.in Detroit and began his very own car company. This remarkable unrestored orinigal Model "20" was used as an advertising display and maintained to be operational. Henry Ford's first factory on Piquette Ave. is being lovingly restored and is home to the Model T Automotive Heritage Complex. Since this early auto factory was Wlater Flanders "home" from 1905 to 1908, this 1910 Flander's was offered for display among the many fabulous example of early Detroit automotive history. The engine is running and it has new tires and tubes. Dash instruments are missing and there is no acetylene tank. This Flanders would need relatively little to be operational. A personal inspection is an excellent idea and is highly recommended.
