1978 Alfa Spider. I took this car as a trade a year ago. I've driven it twice, and it ran, but not well. It has been in my garage since then. My mechanic told me today it needs a lot of work. The front & rear motor seals leak, someone before me apparently cut a segment of the 'frame member' to get at the Spica pump; I find this hard to believe, but I trust his word. It will need a U-joint, one brake caliper is sticking , and certainly a weld at the offending area underneath. The car needs work. It has 61,000 showing on the odometer. The body is not bad, there is minor rust. The seats, top and tires are very good. The engine starts right up, and actually sounds pretty good. We have not run it for long with the leaking oil. This what the mechanic has said- it needs a lot of work. If you can do most of it, you'll be OK, if not, get your check book ready. James (828) 246-2196 Car is located in Western North Carolina.
