1998 Ford Escort click picture to enlarge This is a re-listing due to a non-paying bidder...SHAME ON YOU! Up for auction I have my old, previously-owned 1998 Ford Escort. This car is terrific as a 2nd or back-up car (which is what I used it for over the winter), or for a teenager's first car. It's not too keen on looks, but it runs great and has a current inspection (6/10)...AND...it's pretty good on gas (about 25-30 MPG). As you can see by the pictures, it is not a very clean car (interior-wise), or a very "pretty" car (exterior-wise). But it does get you from point A to point B with no trouble. The car has a roomy trunk (the box in the trunk in the picture will be removed), AM/FM radio and retro-cassette player (LOL), spare tire and jack. When you lift the hood, you have to "hold" it up (I didn't see a rod to hold it up, but maybe it's there). I'm unsure if there's a driver's side airbag, and I only have ONE KEY for the car. Front-wheel-drive with 127,000 original miles, and around 1/2 tank of gas (included). 4-cylinder engine, and the "E" brake does not work. New wiper blades and (used) wiper "arms" were just put on. The car is missing some trim around the driver's side windows (please see the pictures). The car is being sold AS IS, so please look at the pictures carefully, read my descpription thoroughly, and contact me PRIOR to bidding if you have any other questions. The car is PICK UP ONLY. It can be seen and/or taken for a short test ride if you desire (contact me through eBay for this). I am located in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, a small town near Allentown, Pennsylvania. Heater works well, not sure about the AC (I never had it on, to be honest). Old-fashioned (and my favorite) door locks and window cranks. There is NO RESERVE on this auction. Again, please look at the pictures carefully. The interior has dirt evident (my son was a slob), and rips and tears in the upholstery (mostly in the back seat). These are cosmetic features, and do not interfere with the driving performance of the vehicle. NOTE: Please do NOT email me outside of eBay asking me to reduce the price, or to offer this car with a Buy-It-Now price...that is not going to happen. This is a one-week-only auction.
