1949 Packard Standard Eight Fully Restored w/ Overdrive

VIN: 23924810
Vehicle Title:
(376, 100.0%)

1949 Packard Standard Eight Fully Restored w/ Overdrive

1949 Packard Standard Eight "Straight 8" 288ci Motor, manual transmission with electric overdrive. Fully restored top-to-bottom including paint, glass, weatherstripping, upholstery, motor/drivetrain. Refinished in its original shade of Coronet Blue, a beautiful color that sets this Packard apart from the more common blacks, maroons, and tans found on most cars of the 1940's. All chrome professionally replated, all stainless polished. Interior sewn in pinstriped broadcloth with contrasting piping, as original. Four new BF Goodrich Silvertown wide whitewalls, new battery. Starts instantly, and runs and drives effortlessly with good power. Lights, wipers, heater, turn signals, and horn all work, everything necessary for safe and comfortable cruising. I bought this car from a gentleman who purchased it from the estate of the man who restored it, and had passed away. Therefore I can't say too much in detail, except that I was told that the entire drivetrain (motor, transmission, clutch, brakes, ...

1936 Packard Standard Eight 1936 Packard Rumble Seat Roadster Convertible, 1401, show car, award winner

VIN: 919249
Vehicle Title:
(3,193, 100.0%)

1936 Packard Standard Eight 1936 Packard Rumble Seat Roadster Convertible, 1401, show car, award winner

Drop-dead gorgeous Packard Eight, one of perhaps a few dozen Convertible Coupes built in this series in 1936. Car starts instantly, idles smoothly and accelerates with authority. Handles, stops and shifts as it should. In our first year of ownership we had a Gear Vendor overdrive professionally installed, taking care to retain the original drive shaft to allow everything to be returned to stock. Turn signals and seat belts were sympathetically and discreetly installed, as was a master shutoff switch and battery tender. The car was a best in class winner at the Hemming Concours two years ago in Lake George, NY and has been on exhibit at both the Greenwich Concours and Misselwood. A joy to drive, she cruises quietly and effortlessly at highway speeds with turbine-like smoothness, making short work of inclines and hills with her massive torque. Last fall we took her on a 130 mile highway trip, which was absolved in two hours with no fuss, no drama. City driving has likewise been free of worry. ...

1956 Packard Four-Hundred 400 1956 Packard 400 Heather and Dover 2DR HT

I posted some before and after photos so you can see how nicely it cleaned up. I had my mechanic add the following: new tires, new exhaust, flushed the fuel system, rebuilt the carb. adjusted the push button shift linkage, brakes and load leveler and lots of small things. He also cleaned it and buffed out the original paint which looks great on most of the car. The only bad areas are the rust in the brows which look to have been bondod. The rockers look great. If you want a car you can safely drive while you fix it, this is the car for you, The interior is in great shape, might want to replace the dash pad. Th only thing I didn't fix yet is the parking pawl. Mechanically sound, do the body work and have a great looking and great driving car. This was my dad's car, we got to fix it for so he could have a few drives before he passed. Now it's ready for it's new home. 1956 Packard 400 Heather and Dover 2DR HT Mileage is estimated. STRAIGHT EIGHT ENGINE THIS IS NOT THE TYPICAL MIDWEST FARM FIELD FIND WITH MISSING PARTS AND RUSTED OUT FLOORBOARDS ORIGINAL ARIZONA CAR - RUNS GREAT - ALL ORIGINAL NEARLY COMPLETE CAR I took this car as part of a trade. Engine starts right up and runs strong. Brakes are good. Transmission does not jerk, seems very smooth. These are "Luxury cruiser" style cars and this rides like it should for its age. Tires are old, should be replaced, but still hold air. Chrome is in great shape. Has electric fuel pump. Engine was well maintained by the previous owner, and he started to convert it to 12 volt. Car currently has 12 volt battery (the exact style as the original 6 volt batteries), a 12 volt solenoid, and 12 volt fuel pump. The 6 volt generator is still there should you decide to keep it a 6 volt car. Interior needs to be redone, but all the chrome for the door panels is in the trunk as ...

1940 Packard Model 120 C 1940 Packard 120 - RELISTED - LOWER RESERVE

This is a lovely 1940 Packard 120. A great car for touring or just driving around town, this beauty has been well-maintained. The 120 was introduced by Packard in the latter part of the Great Depression and marked their first foray into the less expensive 8 cylinder market. A tall grille with the Packard ridge at the top, a long hood and tasteful bodywork all identify this as a Packard through and through. Steel wheels with hubcaps look great with handsome white sidewall tires. The brown cloth interior is not original, but is true to the Packard look of 1940. The back seat is truly massive by modern standards and the trunk is gigantic. Three-on-the-tree shifting is responsive, and the car starts easily and the engine runs well. Nicely preserved and just right for getting out and driving, this Packard 120 offers all the driving pleasure of the more expensive senior cars at a friendly price. Please note that while the information in this listing is believed to be correct, this car is being ...
