1960 Austin Seven 1960 Austin Seven

This vehicle is a RHD 1960 mini 850, badged Austin Seven. It had a major body rebuild and engine modification in 1996/1997 in preparation for the 1997 Monte Carlo Challenge. It completed that rally and was then sold at auction to the previous owner. The car is mechanically very sound and the engine modifications completed by Avonbar (the leading mini race engine people in the UK at the time) make the engine performance to be more like a spirited 1200 instead of the standard 850. Body rust is an issue and can be seen in the floor boards as well as bits and pieces here and there. Other rally modifications include a 1/2 cage roll cage, full harness seat belts, sump guard, upgraded heater and an all-purpose fire extinguisher. Included in the sale price will be a rare original alloy roof rack as fitted to early Monte Carlo entrants and two sets of wheels (one set of race/snow wheels and one normal set. Hubcaps are also included. The car has been in the US in my possession since 2002.

1967 Austin TAXI FX4 Taxi 4 Door 1967 Austin Taxi FX4 RHD Fantastic Price!!

1967 Austin FX4 VIN: FX4D10421 This is a right-hand drive London Taxi that was on the road up until very recently, and used as a taxi and wedding car in Hawaii. It is only for sale as the owner is relocating to Europe. It is valued at $6-7K, but the owner appreciates it will cost $2-3K to get to the US mainland. It seats 6, there is 1 seat up front next to the driver, and there is a big bench seat in the back which comfortably seats 3, as well as 2 jump-seats and lots of room. There is a glass sliding divider between the front and back. These engines start with glow plugs, which is usual for diesel engines. There is a heater in the front and a separate heater in the back, as well as a/c for the passengers in the back. There is a decent trunk space-wise. The TAXI light on the roof lights up and looks good. Top speed is about 60-65 but 50-55 is comfortable. This Taxi has no or very little rust throughout. This is a fun car to drive and a good family car, and is a real head turner. Most parts ...

1949 Austin Atlantic G90 Very Rare!! 1949 Austin Atlantic A90 - very few left in the states!!

Up for sale is this VERY rare 1949 Austin Atlantic Model A90! This is a project car that has not been run for years, and will need a lot of work, but will be well worth the restoration. The car rolls and steers fine, but there are no brakes. Only 350 Austin Atlantics were exported from England to the US between 1949 and 1952. England was doing everything they could to increase exports to bring money into the country, which had been ravaged by war in the early 1940's. This is why the cars coming to the US were engineered with left hand steering, and not the right hand traditional British types. Originally thought to be able to compete with the Cadillacs of the day, it was clear to most Americans that when it arrived, the Atlantic feel far short of that goal for many reasons, including the fact that the Atlantics sported a 4 cylinder engines versus the popular 8 cylinder engines in its American counterparts. Despite that, the engine produce about 88 hp and reached speeds of 91 mph in testing ...
