1980 Mini Classic Mini cooper clone Manual - 13,000 miles
This is a LEFT hand drive mini with factory A/C and a factory type trailer hitch. It has all the markings of a Cooper S but it is only a reproduction by vin#. It has twin gas filler caps but only one tank on the left- the right side filler cap is a faux. The car was originally custom built by Chamberlain whom I have been told was a Japanese mini custom shop but I have never been able to confirm that claim. (If you know more about Chamberlain I would appreciate the info.) It sports an unobtrusive fiberglass body kit. The body is great without any parking dings. The trailer hitch was installed by a professional shop in New Zealand and was specific for minis. The interior is great- to include the wood dash. All gauges and switches work. The odometer is in kilometers. Air conditioning blows cold. Coordinated (non-smoker) black interior is great. The windows are “windup” and not the old sliding windows. This Austin Cooper Duluxe was purchased new by Bill Turley Senior in 1963 at a dealer in Illinois, it was then given to his son who 20 years ago built a balanced and blueprinted austin america motor for it, and had the car repainted blue(originaly green)... I am the second owner and purchased the car 10 years ago and need to sell it to pay for a horse..The car is a daily driver and has never seen any winter or salt on the roads.. Always stored inside year round its entire life. the final drive gears have been changed so at 6000 rpms your traveling at about 90mph.. The only problem with the car is the low beam is dim on right side and the speedo cable is broken off in the motor end fitting. i have for auction my GSXR 1000 powered austin mini hill climb or circiut racing car or could be put on the road if you wanted . the front and rear of the car is space framed , the rear has alluminum trailing arms adjustable for camber and toe with protech coil over dampers. the front also has protechs and is fully adjustable for caster , camber and toe. the rad and fuel tank are in the front to give the car a good 50/ 50 weight distribution. the motor is a k2 GSXR 1000 producing 150 bhp@ the rear wheels. it has titanium headers and a carbon fibre can and a 6 speed sequential gear box, it has a power commander 3 which you can plug a lap top in and change fuel and ingnition maps. the body is a mk3 and has fibre glass doors , boot lid and a 1 peice bonnet , the roof is carbon fibre as is the miglia arches . the wheels are 7x13 superlites and have new road tires on them there is also a set of hoosier slicks wtih the car please call nick with any questions on 1250 434 4314 thanks for looki...

The car was then restored over a period of 6 mouths in Uk at a mini restoration shop west of Leeds. The mini was painted in Surf Blue inside and out, with an Old English White roof, there is a very slight glitter in the external blue paint which you can only see when the sunlight hits it. This is a very unusual British luxury saloon from the mid-sixties. There were only about 6,000 made and very few exported to the United States, a 1967 Austin Princess Vanden Plas Type 'R', the 'R' designates its powered by a 4L Roll Royce six cylinder alloy engine and although badged as an Austin, also came with the 'R' logo on the front fenders and crown on the grill. With a reputable Borg Warner 3 speed automatic transmission and left hand drive (United States steering position), this car was sold new in New Jersey. Full documents, factory workshop manual, owner's manual, and service receipts indicate three former owners, motor vehicle registration through the mid-eighties, and historic vehicle registration circa 1999. The factory workshop manual covers the entire car including the a/c and transmission. Power brakes are disc in front, drum in rear.
